Robert Giddings Sr.

Age 64, of Cass City, formerly of Vassar, died Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Hill’s and Dale’s Hospital in Cass City, MI. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 4, 2016, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Vassar. Robert’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 4, 2016, from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s memory may be directed to his sister, Cindy Adams for the funeral expenses. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Robert was born April 30, 1952, in Sandusky, Michigan, to Mr. & Mrs. Robert and Betty Lou (Snover) Giddings. Robert was a longtime supporter and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2380 in Vassar. He loved spending his time on the beach. He enjoyed fishing, mowing the grass and collecting. Robert had a great taste for beer. He will be greatly missed. Left to cherish his memory are his: significant other, Karen Mayer; five children: Hope Marie and husband Mark McIntyre, Malisa and husband Jim Creager, Montana Lou and husband J.R. Washington, Emily Ann and husband Danny Miller, and Robert Wallace Giddings Jr.; mother, Betty Lou Giddings; five grandchildren: Nichole Mills, Skyann Miller, Starann Miller, Tanis Fall, and Logan Bowman; great-grandson: Alaric Mills; seven siblings: Phyllis Enos and significant other, Jesse Garza, Edward and wife, Dagmar Giddings, Rick and wife, Cathy Giddings, Cindy Lou and husband, John Adams IV, Nancy Ann McDuffie, Rex and wife, Candi Giddings, and Thomas Lee and wife, Linda Giddings; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Giddings; brother: Roy Giddings; grandchildren: Thomas and Zachary; and sister in law, Bonnie Giddings.
