Rita Novak

Age 70, of Clio, formerly Mount Morris, died on Friday, June 29, 2018, at McLaren Hospital-Flint. Funeral services will be held at Martin Funeral, Cremation, and Tribute Services in Mt. Morris on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at 5:00 pm. Rita’s family will receive guests on Tuesday morning from 12:00 noon, until the service at 5:00 pm. Memorial donations can be made to the North Flushing Baptist Church. Envelopes are available at the Funeral Home. Rita was born on September 1, 1947, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Virginia Merrill (Murdock). Rita enjoyed spending time at her cabin in Benzonia, Michigan. She was an avid gardener and was known for keeping a meticulous lawn. When she was not spending time in the garden, she could be found enjoying her grandchildren and family. Left to cherish Rita’s memory are her children: Alan, wife Debra Merrill, Theodore, wife Lisa Babcock, Stephanie Howard; grandchildren: Lee Howard, Seth Howard, Theodore Babcock IV, Dylan Babcock; brothers: Lester Merrill, Edward, wife Mary Merrill. Rita was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Theodore “Tripp” Babcock III.
