Renee Camp

Age 69, of Burton, died Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Hurley Hospital, with her family by her side. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00am, Friday, August 30, 2024, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Pastor Ralph Pieper to officiate with burial to follow at Pine River Cemetery in Standish. Renee’s family will be present to receive friends on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Renee was born on March 26, 1955, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wyman and Ellen (Hamden) Martin. Renee was a mother first and foremost and enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She was an avid vegetable gardener and loved canning tomatoes to use all year round. Sitting outside at For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum, where she could watch the animals and read her Bible, was Renee’s favorite pastime. She especially enjoyed watching cardinals. Renee also enjoyed coloring and roses. She would often scroll through TEMU and send screenshots of fun things to her family. She loved her family more than anything and will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish Renee’s memory are her sons: Walter (Evelynn) Camp, Eric Camp (Patricia Daniels), Daniel Camp (Lisa Uhde); grandchildren: Kenneth “Kenny” Hescott, Kylee Camp, Daniel “lil Dan” Camp; siblings: Gary (Karen) Nyland, Marty Johnson, Pamela (Bill) Johnston, Sheila (Milan) Camp, Laura (Bill) Balcer; several nieces, nephews, relative, and friends.

Renee was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Angel Marie Camp; brother, Dan Martin; and partner, Al Lemieux.
