BRADSHAW, Raymond Stanley Of Mt. Morris, age 97, died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Monday, November 17, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris.. Pastor Tim Evans will officiate with private burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Sunday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. On Monday morning Ray will be taken to church, where he will lie in state from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Ray was born March 28, 1911 in Ludington, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. William and Mary (Clausen) Bradshaw. He and Ferol L Smith were united in marriage on September 25, 1931, she preceded him in death on May 13, 1979. He and Christina Panas were united in marriage on February 15, 1980, in Mt. Morris. She preceded him in death. Ray owned and operated the Ben Franklin Stores on Detroit Street and Richfield Road. Ray was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris, for over 60 years. Ray leaves to cherish his memory four children: Raymond Jr. and wife Marge Bradshaw, Janet and husband Ralph Secquer, Gary and wife Cathy Bradshaw, Cherie and husband Bob Van De Car, son in law Gary Cooper, 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents,first wife and mother of his children Ferol, second wife Christina, daughter Marilyn Cooper, and lifetime friend Madeline Rockafellow.
