Ray Root

Of Flint, age 41, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at home. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Minister John Southern will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ray was born July 1, 1971, in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Doreen (Hamilton) Root. Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Doreen; seven siblings, Neal Hamilton, Vicki Root, Brenda and husband, Wayne Oswald, Chris and husband, Frankie Ingleston, Veronica Marcou, Douglas Root, and Roy Root; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Root.
