Randy James Pitt

Age 64, of Mt. Morris, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022, at home with his family by his side. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Home Missionary Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. Pastor Matt Rowland to officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Randy’s family will be present to receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, March 26, 2022, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. On Wednesday morning, Randy will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions can be directed to Home Missionary Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Randy’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com. Randy was born in Owosso, on March 16, 1958, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis and Iris (Bisard) Pitt. Educated locally, Randy attained his associate degree in Engineering from Mott Community College in 1993. Randy met and married the love of his life, Debra McField, on November 13, 1995. He often left her little love notes, reminding her just how truly special she was to him. Soon after college, Randy worked as an engineer for General Motors. He was a jack-of-all-trades and loved anything to do with woodworking. Fishing was his favorite pastime. He would fish anywhere there was water. He even taught his kids and grandkids how to fish. Randy also enjoyed camping at Outdoor Adventure, where he could sit around the campfire making s'mores and telling stories. Most of which were about fishing. In his free time, Randy enjoyed watching Scooby-Doo and The Three Stooges. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He never missed a single one of their sporting events no matter how far away he had to drive. He will be greatly missed. Left to cherish Randy's memory are his loving wife of 27 years, Debra Pitt; children: Theron and wife, Heather McField, Ashly and husband, Cliff Wentworth, Christizanatye Pitt, Samantha Pitt, Pamela and husband, Michael Preston; grandchildren: Theron, David, Cody, Vanessa, Kaylynn, Oliver, Gabriel, Odin, Dominic, Myles, Micheal, Brianna; siblings: Richard Pitt, Pat Pitt, Sally Pitt, mother-in-law, Dalberta McField; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bruce Pitt, and sister, Merry Kay Pitt.
