Ramon Ramirez

Ramon Ramirez, Sr., age 76, of Caro, died Monday, February 26, 2018, at Medilodge of Cass City. The funeral service will be held 12:00 noon, Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Fairgrove, Rev Jerzy Dobosz will officiate with burial to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Ramon’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Thursday, from 9:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 noon. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family’s discretionary fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ramon was born on October 22, 1941, in Devine, Texas. He married the love of his life, Timotea (Vasquez) on September 8, 1962. Sadly, she preceded him in death on November 2, 2005. Ramon worked as a welder for Evans Products in Gagetown, for 28 years. He was a long-time member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 6222. In his free time, Ramon enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, tinkering around the house, working on cars, making trailers, and jewelry, and being outdoors. Left to cherish his memory, six children: Catarino and wife, Debra Ramirez, Alicia Garcia, Rosalinda and husband, Paul Timon, Ramon and wife, Cathy Ramirez, Jr., Sandra Czowski, and Rafael Ramirez; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; mother, Virginia R. Moreno; six siblings: Isabela Ruiz, Mario Moreno, Juanita Moreno, Blas Moreno, Jr., Virginia Villarreal, and Amber Moreno; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Timotea, and his grandparents Catarino and Juanita Ramirez.
