Peter "Pop" Pepitone

Peter Pepitone, age 86, of Mt. Morris, died Thursday, November 13, 2014, at McLaren-Flint. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Monday, November 17, 2014, at the at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Peter’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Sunday from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the McLaren ICU. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Peter was born December 28, 1927, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Sam and Rosalee Pepitone. He married Verna Roth on March 20, 1953, in Mt. Morris. Sadly Verna preceded him in death on February 16, 2007, after 53 years of marriage. Peter worked for Chevy in The Hole as a Tool Crib Attendant for many years until retiring in the late 1980's. He was a long time member of UAW Local #659. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching the Detroit Tigers and spending time at his home in Au Gres, Michigan. Left to cherish his memory 2 children; Jackie Pepitone, and Jeffrey Pepitone and Christi Turner, 2 grandchildren; Owen Bailey and Amira Pepitone; and his sister Rosie Arbeau; and many other family members and friends. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, wife Verna and Brother Philip Pepitone.
