Peter Born

Of Mt. Morris, age 89, died Friday, November 30, 2007 at MediLodge of Rochester Hills. Graveside committal services will take place at 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 5, 2007. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will be officiating with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Envelopes are available at Miles Martin Funeral Home and at church. \ \ Peter was born October 25, 1918 in Gorham, Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. Peter and Della (Dixon) Born. He was united in marriage to Nina Bernear on May 15, 1946 in Ava, Illinois. He served his country proudly during World War II. He retired from GM in 1979. Peter was an active member of the Eagle Aries, Moose Lodge, 40 & 8 and The American Legion. Peter enjoyed woodworking, gardening and loved to cook hot chili.\ \ Left to cherish his memory are son; James E. Born, brother; Ralph (Faye) Born, sisters; Alice Nelson; Kathryn (Bill) Schimpf, one grandchild; Wendy Born and many nieces and nephews. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.\
