Penny Mae Young

May 25, 1961 — October 12, 2021

Age 60, of Mt. Morris, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Hurley Medical Center. A Graveside Funeral Service will take place at 11:30 am, on Monday, October 18, 2021, at the Mt. Morris City Cemetery. Pastor Nick Heite to officiate, with burial to follow. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Penny’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com. Penny was born in Newport, Tennessee, on May 25, 1961, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stewert and Nellie (Barnes) McFalls. Penny was a School Bus Driver for Mt. Morris Consolidated Schools until her retirement there and then she started working for FedEx until her retirement in 2009. She would often say she hated driving, even though that is what she did for a living. Penny was the world’s greatest caregiver and enjoyed tending to her family. Penny enjoyed gardening, both flower, and vegetable. She also enjoyed crafting, knitting blankets and characters, making wreaths, and shabby chic. Penny loved dogs and had one most of her life. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren most of all and will be greatly missed. Left to cherish Penny’s memory are her children: Richie and wife, Mallory Young and Jenny and husband, Brian Kindlinger; grandchildren: Garrett Kirby, Luna Kirby, Bowen Kindlinger; sister, Kathy Davis; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Penny was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tony McFalls; stepfather, Robert Harrington.
