SZEWCZYK, Penelope L. AaA"Penny Of Mt. Morris, age 67, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 12:00noon, Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Services will conclude at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. And on Monday from 11:00am until 12:00noon. Memorial contributions may be sent to the The Vasculitis Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Penelope was born June 17, 1941 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and Elfreda (Carlson) Sampson. She worked as a Postal Clerk in Mt. Morris for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed bowling with her League at Colonial Lanes. She leaves to cherish her memory Significant other, Dave Thompson, three children, two daughters, Marie(Darrell) Bigbee and Techla(Jeff) Pashby, son, Tony Szewczyk, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Freda Sampson and her brother Jimmy.
