Paul Arnold Glauser

October 18, 1939 — June 23, 2023

Paul Glauser passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023, at age 83. He passed at the Angel Manor Senior Living Community in Clio, MI surrounded by his family. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Mary Frances, his three children: Carol (Sandy) Biggs, Greg (Nicole) Glauser, and Keith (Rebecca Haughey) Glauser, and his grandchildren: Sam, Mitchell and Cameron along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Anne, and his sister, Anita.

Born in Flint, MI on October 18, 1939, to Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Anne Marie (Sporli) Glauser, Paul attended St. John Vianney Catholic School until he was asked to shave his beard. Refusing to shave, Paul decided to enlist in the United States Navy at the age of 17. Petty Officer 2nd Class Paul Glauser then proudly served in the United States Navy for eight years, earning his honorable discharge on January 14th, 1965, from USNTC Great Lakes, Illinois. Upon returning to civilian life, Paul married the love of his life, Mary Frances Renick, on February 10, 1967. He spent 32 years working as an electrician for General Motors before retiring in 1997. Paul and Mary Frances were long-time members of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Morris.

Paul loved to be outdoors; he enjoyed camping, and fishing, and spent many happy hours taking immaculate care of his lawn. In his free time, he enjoyed teaching himself to make beer and wine, his '53 Chevy truck, a cold beer, and spending time with his family and friends. Paul will be missed greatly by all who knew him, but especially by those of us who knew him best.

In accordance with Paul's wishes, he has been cremated and will be laid to rest on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Family and friends will gather at Great Lakes Cemetery at 10:50 am for the service at 11:00 am Rev. Fr. Roy Horning will officiate. Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed on Pauls' tribute wall on martinfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital-a long-time favorite charity of Paul's.
