Patricia Hutchins

Patricia Hutchins, age 80, of Flint, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at home with her family by her side. In accordance with Patricia’s wishes cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life Service will take place from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Flushing Park Pavilion #2. Expressions of sympathy and donations to the Alzheimer’s Association may be placed on Patricia’s tribute page on martinfuneralhome.com.

Patricia was born in Flint, on August 30, 1942, the daughter of Manual E. and Geraldine I. (McKinight) Wilkinson. Educated locally, Patricia graduated from Beecher High School with the Class of 1960. Patricia better known as “PX Patty and Chatty Patty” worked as a waitress for PX BBQ Restaurant in Flint for many years. From there Patty would begin working as a job setter for AC Spark Plug/Delphi until her retirement in 2002. After retiring, Patty moved to Prudenville where she loved gathering with family and friends. She was known for never meeting a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. In her free time, Patty enjoyed golfing, dancing, playing cards, shuffleboard, and bowling.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Berry (Lisa) McKerchie, Rhonda (Gary) Brunt, Troy (Cheryl) McKerchie, Brian (Sharon) McKerchie; seven grandchildren: Josh, Lindsey, Joseph, Nicholas, Kaylee, Zach, Kelsay; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Persons; brother, Michael Wilkinson; and many other family members and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Mark Wilkinson.
