Patricia Howard

Age 85, of West Branch, ​​died Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at The Villa at Rose City, in Rose City, Michigan. Funeral Service will take place 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mount Morris. Pastor Kevin Dixson will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. The family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Saturday morning beginning at 11:00 am, until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Compassus Hospice. Envelopes are available at the Funeral Home. Patrica was born on May 17, 1933, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Howard and Evelyn (Nellett) Beehn. Patricia and Jerry Howard were united in marriage on December 23, 1950. The two shared 63 years of marriage, until Jerry preceded her in death on September 14, 2013. Their union bore six children. After Jerry’s retirement, the two could be found enjoying a meal at the local McDonald’s. They also frequented the restaurant so much that the staff made unsalted fries, especially for Patricia. She was an avid collector of shoes and handbags and had many novelty shoes such as Elvis, Snoopy, and Betty Boop. After her death, Patricia’s children donated her shoe and handbag collection to those that were in need. Patricia loved her family and especially her children and grandchildren. Patricia was an avid quilter. Her love for quilting and her family often intersected, as her children and grandchildren each had handmade quilts. Patricia loved all of God’s creatures. Her home became an animal sanctuary; all animals were fed and taken care of. Birds were a particular joy for Patrica and she had a surplus of seed, and jam to feed them. Her love for humanity and spirit will be dearly missed. Left to cherish her memory are; children: Tom, Fred and wife, Donna, Robert and wife, Phyllis, Bill and wife, Gail, Steve and wife, Sherry and Cathy and husband, Dallas Neubecker; 18 grandchildren:Tom Howard, Jerry Howard, Matt Howard, Lora Riley, Eric Howard, Curtis Howard, Chad Howard, Brandon Howard, Randy Howard, Jennifer Clark, Patty Howard, Adam Howard, Andrew Howard, Mary Beth Miller, Michelle Howard, Cassie Tennant, Elisa Neubecker, Debbie Neubecker; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Philip Beehn; sister-in-law, Carol Beehn; brother-in-law, Bill and wife, Sharon Howard, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Patrica was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and daughter-in-law, Karen Howard.
