Nancy Sauceda Martinez

Age 60, of Mt. Morris, died Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at home. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning to officiate. Nancy’s family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and again on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon. On Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm, family, friends, and parish will gather to pray the rosary. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Nancy’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com. Nancy was born in Little Field, Texas, on April 25, 1962, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernesto and Consuelo (Sauceda) Villarreal. Educated locally, Nancy graduated from Montrose High School with the Class of 1980. Nancy worked as the bilingual program coordinator for the Flint Board of Education for 30 years until her retirement in 2010. Nancy enjoyed playing mystery games on her phone and tablet. She was a pro at completing crossword puzzles and word search puzzles. Nancy loved to dance and listen to Mexican music. She also enjoyed watching her favorite shows, which included the Ghost Channel, Travel Channel, and ID Channel. Spending time with her friends and family was her favorite pastime. Nancy was a loving, caring, beautiful person inside and out and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She adored and loved taking care of her grandchildren. Nancy spent her days cooking for and tending to her family and enjoyed catering to them all. She will be greatly missed. Left to cherish Nancy's memory are her daughter, Criselda Martinez, and significant other, Michael Martinez; grandchildren: Nadia, Naleah, Michael; siblings: Elva and husband, Pepe Jaramillo, Shirley Villarreal, Benita and husband, Bill Ferris, Santos Garcia, Maria Gatica, Johnny Villarreal, Estella and husband, Rudy Rocha, Raymond and wife, Nona Villarreal, Josie and husband, Venancio Torres, Jose "Joe" Villarreal, Elida Garza, Ernesto Villarreal, Jr.; god-daughter, Serena Escamilla; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents: first husband, Lionel Martinez; longtime boyfriend, Octaviano Molina; siblings: Apolonio "Paul" Villarreal and Ester Zamarripa.
