Of Mt. Morris, Age 86, die Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint. Funeral service will take place 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris with Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Neeley Labarr Post #158 of Clio. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Moreyas family will be present to receive friends on Friday from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Heart Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \ \ Morey was born May 15, 1920 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Isabelle (Johnson) Woodbury. He and Zerda Ritter were united in marriage April 27, 1941 in Flint. She preceded him in death April 20, 1998. Morey served in the US Army during WWII from 1943 to 1946 where he was a musician entertaining at hospitals throughout the country and supervising USO shows. He worked as a security guard at Meijeras for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed working in his yard and his dog "Chico.a \ \ Left to cherish his memory are his four special adopted grandchildren: Jerry Ritter, Kimmy Jo Ritter, Dorinda & Robert Sosh, and Kim Berry, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, brother: Dale and wife Evelyn Woodbury, and many nieces, nephews and friends. \ \ Morey was preceded in death by his parents, wife Zerda, son and daughter-in-law, James and Sharon Ritter, granddaughter, Maureen Ritter, grandson, Danny Ritter, great-grandsons, Jeremy Ritter and Christopher Ritter, great-granddaughter, Ann Marie Ritter and his brothers and sisters.
