Michael Dewayne Dodd

Age 48, of Mt. Morris, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00pm, Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Pastor John Southern to officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Michael’s family will be present to receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday and on Wednesday from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. Mike was born in Flint on April 20, 1975, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester and Cheryl (Pease) Dodd. Educated locally, he attended Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School. Mike was an excellent mechanic and worked on all his family and friends’ vehicles at Dodd's Auto. Mike was a huge car enthusiast and loved all things fast and furious. He was a jack-of-all-trades and enjoyed wrenching on anything with a motor. He was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. His family meant the world to him. He enjoyed spending time with them at family gatherings and was the life of any party. He lit up any room he walked into. Mike was a walking encyclopedia and was exceptionally funny. He was well known and always ran into someone he knew, no matter where he went. Mike also enjoyed snowmobiling, dancing and singing, and quoting lines from movies. He was a wonderful man and will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish Mike's memory are his mother, Cheryl Dodd; children: Charlotte Dodd and fiance, Justin Hensley, Abigail Dodd, Ashley Dodd, Madison Dodd; grandchildren: Justin II, Tucker; brother, Timothy and wife, Misty, Dodd; three sisters: Tina Dodd, Michelle Dodd, and Tamera Dodd; his children's mother's: Angie Dodd and Rachel Keller; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Chester Dodd.
