Of Clio, age 69, died Saturday, November 22, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. Mass of Christian burial will take place, 10:30 am, Monday, December 1, 2014, at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church in Flint. Fr. Tom Firestone will Officiate. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and at the church on Monday, from 9:30 am until time of service at 10:30 am. A rosary will take place at the funeral home 7:00 pm on Sunday. Memorial contributions can be directed to the Homeless Disabled Veterans. Envelopes will be avalible at the funeral home and church. Michael was born April 30, 1945, in Grayling, Michigan. He is the son of Thomas and Jeanette (Gouthier) Ledwick. He married Patricia (Fechik) Ledwick in 1992, at Saint Agnes in Flint. Michael served in the Navy for two years. He was employed by Dot Caring Services as a Therapist. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Disabled American Veterans, and American Legion post-158. Michael loved spending time with his family. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, And camping. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Fechik) Ledwick; son Micheal Ledwick; two daughters, Heather and husband, Justin Hettler, and Michelle; three brothers, Jerry, Thomas, and Bill; three sisters, Jackie, Sharon, and Sherry; three grandchildren, Elijah, Jadon, and Ella. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Larry Montgomery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Veterans Affairs Hospital, University of Michigan Oncology Staff, Hurley Medical Center Oncology Staff, and Doctor Peddireddy.
