Mary Jane Nations

Mary Jane Nations, age 89, of Clio, passed away on August 9, 2022, at Bavarian Comfort Care in Bridgeport. A funeral service will take place at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mount Morris on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Dan Shinabarger to officiate. The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, August 16, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Mary’s tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com. Mary was born on August 6, 1933, to Mr. and Mrs. Marvin and Gladys Gordon in Flint. Educated locally, Mary graduated from Flint Central High School. Mary and Charles Reip were united in marriage, and their union was blessed with three children: Timothy, Randall, and Andrew. Although Mary spent some time working outside the home, her true calling was to care for her children and home as a dedicated homemaker. On July 11, 1987, Bill Nations, Sr., and Mary were united in marriage and were loving companions until his passing in 1994. Mary’s faith in God was unwavering, and she expressed her faith best using her voice. Mary was a talented and accomplished singer. She was also involved in many women’s groups at Asbury United Methodist Church. Spending time outside in her flower garden, especially her rose garden, was one of Mary’s most cherished activities. She was an incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming person who will be missed deeply by her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Timothy Reip, Andrew Reip and wife, Chris; grandchildren Pamela, April and husband George, Amanda and husband Mark, Michael and wife, Sheela, Megan and husband Justin, Jared, and Morgan; 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
