Mary (Leach) Long

Age 89, of Mt. Morris, died, Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. A funeral celebrating Mary’s life will take place 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services – Mt. Morris. Kim Herron will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial Contributions in Mary’s name can be directed to the American Glaucoma Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mary was born January 17, 1928, in Ferndale, Michigan. Mary graduated from Otter Lake with the class of 1945. She and Frank Long were united in marriage on January 25, 1947, in Otter Lake, Michigan. Mary stayed home to raise three children. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching game shows and sports. Her favorite team was the Detroit Tigers. Mary will be greatly missed by many. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her husband: Frank Long; three children: Joyce Long (Steve Blood), Randy (Diane) Long and Ronny (Pam) Long; five grandchildren: Corey Robinson, Tiffany (Steve) Close, Leslye Long, Bridget Long (Joe Chuba) and Brent Long; six great-grandchildren: Riley Robinson, Luke Robinson, Lily Robinson, Bailey Bogard, Taylor Bogard, and Hazel Chuba. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Pearl (Thurston) Leach and brother Gail.
