Mark Szymanski

Age 63, of Mt. Morris, passed away November 30, 2024, at his family deer camp, in Presque Isle, Michigan. In accordance with Mark’s wishes, cremation will take place. Mark was born in Rogers City, Michigan on July 17, 1961, he is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Harry and Stella (Huntley) Szymanski. Educated locally in Rogers City, he would begin working full time in the Asphalt industry at the age of 13. Mark met and married the love of his life, Kim Bruski on October 11, 1985, in Posen, Michigan. He and Kim would eventually open Mark’s Paving, Inc. in Mt. Morris and Camp Bow-Winkle in Presque Isle, Michigan. He was an avid sportsman and lover of the outdoors; he spent his whole life fishing and hunting. When he wasn’t in the woods, he was driving around looking for deer. He especially loved to spend time with family at his deer camp, whether it was fishing down at the pond with his daughters and grandson or driving the golf cart around the property enjoying nature usually with the family dog in tow. Mark was very social; strangers quickly became friends. A man with a true heart of gold, he always wanted to take care of others. He had a larger-than-life personality with a great sense of humor that was always on display. He loved life and lived every moment to its fullest; his most precious gifts in his life were his two daughters and grandson.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kim; daughter, Jenna Szymanski; grandson, Jaiden Walker and his father, Jermaine Walker; 15 siblings: Rose Mary Stanfield, Susan husband, Stanley Sobek, Teresa and husband, Rodney Lewandowski, Judy and husband, Robert Szott, Harry and wife, Melissa Szymanski, Veronica and husband, Leland Dickerson, Helen and husband, Thomas Polaski, Pamela Zubal, Mary and husband, Frank Talaska, Karen Liedtke, Brian Szymanski, Sandra and husband, Michael Gittleson, Denise and husband, Mark, Lewandowski, Jamie and Renee Szymanski, Melissa and husband, Sam Mau; best friend, Paul Drager; several nieces, nephews; cousins and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Megan Rae Szymanski.
