Marilyn Vliet

Age 84, of Culleoka, Tennessee, formerly of Clio, Michigan, died December 10, 2019, surrounded by her family. A funeral service will take place Saturday, December 14, 2019, at 2:00 pm, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow at Pinegrove Cemetery. Reverend Erik Cloeter to officiate. The family will be present at the funeral home to receive guests on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Marilyn was born June 26, 1935, in Brown City, Michigan. She is the daughter of Harold and Norine (Middaugh) Hill. Marilyn married the love of her life, Leo Nathan Vliet, in August 1952. Sadly, he preceded her in death on December 13, 1994. Marilyn was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time at church and reading her Bible and many other books, watching Detroit Tigers, playing cards, doing crafts and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Elizabeth and Gary Erfourth, Robert Vliet and Harold and Vickie Vliet; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Beth and Dennis St. James, Marjory Kelley, Bobby Hill; special friends; Pat Jones, Trish and Rick Wickert, Robin, Larry Beckel, and Leah. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leo, brother-in-law, Dearmon Kelley, sister, Gail Nelson and brothers, Harold and Raymond Hill.
