Marie Hummel

Of Flushing, age 73, died Monday, October 15, 2012, at home. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Friday, October 19, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. Thursday evening family and friends will gather to pray the Rosary at 7:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Marie was born November 3, 1938, in Gladwin, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger and Edith (Pero) Edgar. She and James Stewart Hummel were united in marriage in September 30, 1960. Marie worked for the State of Michigan at MESC, for many years, retiring in 1987. Marie leaves to cherish her memory three sons; Jeffery "Carl" and wife, Lana, Joseph and wife, Lynn, James Jr. and wife, Deanna; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters; eight brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
