Marguerite Krumnauer

September 18, 1923 — November 21, 2011

Of Vassar, age 88, died Monday, November 21, 2011, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am Monday, November 28, 2011, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Vassar. Pastor James Naumann and Pastor James D. Plocher will officiate with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Martin Funeral Home in Vassar Sunday, November 27, 2011, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to St. Luke's Church. Marguerite was born September 18, 1923, in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of William and Amanda (Campau) Strobel. She and John Krumnauer were united in marriage March 28, 1943; he preceded her in death in 1978. She was a homemaker and an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Left to cherish her memory are children, John and wife, Janice Krumnauer of Vassar and Kathie and husband, Charlie Crossen of O'Fallon, Illinois; four grandchildren; Amanda (Erik) Enser of Chicago, Scott (Trish) Krumnauer of Vassar, currently stationed in Korea, Michael (Tillie) Krumnauer of Vassar and Jason Krumnaurer of Vassar; great-grandchildren Kayleigh and Kyle Krumnauer; and another great-grandchild to arrive in December. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 35 years, John Krumnauer; brother, Fred Strobel; and son-in-law, Ralph Enser.
