Margaret (Randall) Schemers

Age 99, of Frankenmuth, formerly of Vassar and Kingston, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Medi Lodge of Frankenmuth. Funeral service will take place on Saturday November 7, 2015, at 10:30 am, at Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Services-Vassar. Sister Ellen Rinke will officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:30 am. Mrs. Schemers was born August 4, 1916, in Kingston, the daughter of the late Nathan and the late Anna (Adel) Randall. She and Alfred Schemers were united in marriage on January 4, 1935. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1996. Margaret went to White Creek School in Kingston and would go on to work at Frankenmuth Nursing Home and Lutheran Home Frankenmuth as a nurse’s aide for many years. She was very passionate about her career and treated many patients over the years with compassion and dignity. Margaret also enjoyed shopping and spending the winter months with her husband in Florida. She is survived by two daughters: Janet Hicks and husband Roger, and Sandra Martin and husband Tom; grandchildren: Barry Martin, Bonnie Schagel and husband Ted, Timothy Hicks and wife Tina, Carole Hicks, Amy Bober and husband Stewert; great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Schlagel, Chandler and Logan Hicks, Ian Mikel Smith, Christopher, Samual, and Joseph Bober, Brehanna Storey, and Zackary Zablocki; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Schemers; parents; Granddaughter Maribeth Zablocki, great grandsons Cody and Wyatt Schlagel, great granddaughter Sabrina Storey; five sisters; and one brother.
