Of Flint, age 80, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at her home. The funeral service will take place 11:00am Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Our Savior Lutheran Church, 6901 N. Saginaw in Flint. Pastor Randy Schultz will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home 4:00pm until 9:00pm Friday. On Saturday morning, Mrs. Love will be taken to church to lie in state where friends may call from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Lois was born October 14, 1928 in Rogers City, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon and Augusta (Wendt) Bergey. She and George C. Love were united in marriage May 24, 1947 in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Lois was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church where she was active with the food pantry. She worked as a secretary in a doctorAaas office in Flint for 18 years. Surviving are her husband George C. Love of Flint; children, Grant and wife Mary Love of Durand, Sherry and husband Bill Bachman of Grand Blanc, Greg Love of Flint, George and wife Sally Love of Holly and Wendy and husband Robert Meldrum of Algonac; 7 grandchildren, Chris, Amy, Gregg, Michelle, Danielle, Samantha and Emma; 10 great-grandchildren, Keely, Asa, Keira, Gabe, Gwen, Grace, Myley, Zack, Daniel and Sofia; several nieces and nephews in the USA and Canada.Very special people in her life including Pastor Randy Schultz and the Bunko Girls. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gordon, Chuck, Hank, Kenny, sister, Myrtle and niece, Betty Lou.
