Lois Mae Leathers

August 13, 1937 — June 24, 2020

Age 82, of Mt. Morris, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at McLaren-Flint, with her family by her side. A graveside service will be held at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery at 12:30pm on Monday, June 29, 2020. Elder Garfield Cooper to officiate. Expressions of sympathy can be made on Lois's tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com. Lois was born in Harnett County, North Carolina, on August 13, 1937, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Louise (Page) Addison. Lois married the love of her life, Bruce Leathers, on February 12, 1954. Sadly, he preceded her in death in 1979. Lois joined the Mt. Morris Church of Christ in 1957 and remained a member until the time of her death. In the past, Lois taught the little children’s Bible classes and Vacation Bible School classes. She and her husband, Bruce, worked with other members participating in projects that involved setting up the new church building in the 1960’s. Lois graduated from Ross Medical Education Center and worked in the medical field for 25 years. Crocheting, reading, spending time with her friends, and putting jigsaw puzzles together were just a few of the things Lois enjoyed to do. Her faith in the Lord carried her through all of her pain. She showed all of us her dedication to the Lord throughout all of her difficult times. Lois leaves to cherish her memory; two children: Jo Ann and husband, Doug Wolfe of Curtis, MI and Richard B. and wife, Connie Leathers of Mt. Morris; six grandchildren: Shelli Ann Drier and husband, Andrew Booth of Swartz Creek, Dennis R. Drier and Stephanie Metz of Montrose, Timothy B. Leathers of Mt. Clemens, MI., Jonathan R. Leathers of Mt. Morris, Aaron L. Leathers of Mt. Clemens, MI., Jason R. Leathers of Mt. Morris; three great-grandchildren: Addison Cara Booth and Sophie Ann Booth both of Swartz Creek, and Dennis R. Drier of Montrose; two sisters: Brenda Langston and Violet Lee, both of Erwin, N.C., several nieces and nephews. Her family would like to extend a special thank-you to all those who supported her. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bruce.
