Lloyd Show

Of Vassar, age 85, died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at home. The Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 11:00am at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar with Military Honors conducted by VFW Post #10884 with cremation to follow. LloydAaas family will receive friends at church from 10:00am until time of Mass at 1:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the familyAaas wishes. Envelopes are available at church. Lloyd was born December 22, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Emma (Trombley) Show. He and Helen Metiever were united in marriage in Flint in 1943. She preceded him in death in July 9, 2000. Lloyd was a member of the Flint Carpenters Union. After retiring in 1980Aaas Lloyd continued to build as a hobby. He was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed polka dancing, and playing bingo. In 2007 he met a lady named Arlene, in Caro at the VFW hall. Lloyd was a member of the Mayville-VFW Post #10884, and a member of the Vassar Eagles Aerie #2380. Lloyd leaves to cherish is his memory two children, Lloyd II (Marsha) and David (Diana); seven grandchildren, Lloyd III, Lasandra, Kasha and Britten, David G. II, Johnathan A. and Matthew A.; brother, John J.; special friend, Arlene, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen M., brothers, Eugene, Lavern and Virgel.
