Of Blissfield, formerly of Burton, age 80, died Friday, August 24, 2007 at his residence Blissfield Place Assisted Living. The funeral service will take place at 11:00am, Wednesday, August 28, 2007 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will greet friends and loved ones Tuesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.\ \ Lionel was born November 21, 1926 in Val'Dor, Quebec, Canada and raised the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse and Juliette Corriveau. He and Lorraine Thibeault were united in marriage for 40 years; she preceded him in death in 1996. Leo was an iron worker/welder for 15 years at the Local 25. He then worked at Buick Motor Division 25 years, retiring in December 1988. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. He was a family man first and foremost who also enjoyed bowling and golfing.\ \ Those left to cherish his memory are his brother Jean Corriveau, his children; Deborah (Thomas) Fratturelli, Dena Corriveau, Diane Corriveau, John (Vickie) Corriveau, grandchildren; Rebecca, Michael, Joey, Marissa, Adrianne, Nicole, great-grandchild Colin.\ \ He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sisters Madeline, Theresa and brother Roland.\ \
