Of Clio, age 74, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Grand Blanc Rehabilitation Care Center. The Funeral Mass will take place 10:30am, Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00am until 8:00pm. On Friday evening family, friends, and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray a Scriptural Rosary at 5:00pm. On Saturday morning, Leonard will be taken to church to lie in state from 9:30am until time of Mass at 10:30am. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Leonard was born September 1, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard and Donna (Murray) Stumm. He and Rosalie Zyber were united in marriage September 3, 1955 in Flint. Leonard worked at Ternstedt for 40 years, retiring in 1999. He worked as a basketball and football referee throughout Genesee County for 40 plus years. Leonard leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years Rosalie; six children, Karen Arnould, of Flushing, Christopher and wife Robbie Stumm, of Lakewood, CO, Peter and wife Patsy Stumm, of Kalkaska, Dianne Maheras, of Mesa, AZ, Paul and wife Laura Stumm, of Flushing, Tracey and husband Kevin Liberacki, of Huntersville, NC; 13 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; two sisters, Donna Jean and husband Robert McGovern, of Fairfield Glade, TN and Marianne Currie, of Millington and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gerald, and sister Margaret.
