Leona Hind

Age 99, of Mt. Morris died Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Clare Bridge Assisted Living in Grand Blanc. The funeral service will take place 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Leona’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm. Leona was born August 4, 1915, in Port Hope Michigan, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Fred and Albertina (Gall) Marquardt. She married Gaillard Hind on June 11, 1938 at Bad Axe, Michigan. Sadly he preceded her in death on June 27, 2000. Left to cherish her memory are; three children; Robert (Marlene) Hind, Audrey Jenkins-Thorne and Barbara (Tom) Ries; five grandchildren, Nicole Hind, Michelle (Vince) Songco, Laurie and Michael Jenkins, and Jessica (Paul) McGrath; great-granddaughter, Isabella Songco; sister, Alma Dickenson, and many other family members. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gaillard, five brothers, one sister and great-grandson Brooklyn Songco.
