Leona Caron

Of Flint, age 79, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:30am, Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Miller will officiate with burial to follow in West Vienna Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00pm to 8:00pm, and on Saturday morning from 10:00am until time of service at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be considered a family fund for funeral expenses. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Leona was born December 29, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Gladys (Neeley) Jones. She enjoyed spending time with family, bird watching, playing bingo, and watching the Detroit Tigers. Leona leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Diane and husband Harrison Jackson, Donna and husband Jerry Daniels, and Tina and husband Kevin Powell, daughter in law Belinda and husband Don Hoyt, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Mike and Steve Caron, great grandson Robbie, brothers Roy and Bobby Jones.
