Lenora Chapel

January 12, 1920 — July 17, 2013

Of Mt. Morris, age 93, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland. A graveside service was held for both Lenora and her daughter, Peggy on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Flint Memorial Park. Pastor Tyson Lemke officiated. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Children's Homes, Inc. of Paragould 5515 Walcott Rd. Paragould, AR 72450. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Lenora was born January 12, 1920, in Beech Grove, Arkansas the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elgin and Nellie (Burke) Meadows. She and Kermit Chapel were united in marriage in 1964. She worked at AC Spark Plug before retiring in 1963 and was a member of the UAW #651. Left to cherish her memory are eight grandchildren; Michele Pratt, Shari and Dave Kelsey, Karryn Walker, Kelly and Michael Ebert, Wayne and Susi Hutchins, Atina and Michael Beaugrand, Michael Walker, and Greg and Kathy Walker; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-granddaughters; and sister, JoAnn King. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jack Walker; daughter, Peggy Hutchins; sisters, Marjorie "Boots" Baird, Lucille Lemmons; and brother, Guy Meadows. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bickford Senior Living and Mid Michigan Medical Center both in Midland for their kindness and helping to make an unbearable situation better. Thanks Nana for being a true Southern Lady, for making the best cornbread stuffing and mashed potatoes, for always having Keebler coconut chocolate chip cookies, letting us ride Billy and Buster, planting a garden that the grandkids could play in, letting us drive the tractor and caring for us much more then we deserved. We Love You!
