Kimberly Sims

Kimberly Ellen (Salsbury) Sims, age 56, of Clio, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018, at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint. In accordance with Kimberly’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Calvary Baptist Church (10500 W. Grand Blanc Rd., Gaines, Michigan 48436). Kimberly was born on April 27, 1962, in Chinon, France, the daughter of Mr. Wayne Salsbury and Mrs. Patricia Salsbury, and adopted shortly after by her mother Madelon Salsbury. She graduated from Clio High School class of 1981. Kimberly and Garth Sims were united in marriage on June 26, 1982, in Russellville, Michigan. She was a member of the Job’s Daughters International. Kimberly was a lifelong volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, lastly serving as a Cub Scout Den Leader for Pack 366 in Clio. In her free time, she enjoyed camping and crafting. Above all else, she loved being a grandma. Left to cherish her memory are her husband: Garth Sims; two sons: Jonathon and wife, Lindsey Sims, Daniel and wife, Katrina Sims; three grandchildren: Gavin, Addison, Layla; mother: Madelon Salsbury; and two siblings: Robert and wife, Heather Salsbury and Kelli and husband, Tim Webb. Kimberly was preceded in death by her birth mother, Patricia Salsbury, and father, Wayne Salsbury.
