While attending Beecher School District she was a proud majorette. Kim graduated from Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School in 1981; she continued her education earning her Masters' degree in Counseling. After graduating, Kim would begin working at Mott Community College as a Counselor and Adjunct Professor for over 25 years until her retirement in May of 2021. She met the love of her life, Philip Hart, the two were united in marriage on June 14, 1986, at the Faith Missionary Church in Flint. Kim had a huge heart and love for many things and people but her family meant the world to her. She enjoyed planning and organizing the family get-togethers; she also loved making everyone smile, doing her magic tricks, and playing games with the kids. She started every day with daily devotionals and reading her Bible. Kim loved to travel around the world, she went on diving excursions and sightseeing tours. While visiting other countries Kim collected coins and shared them with her students; she also loved teaching and showing them the different cultures and history around the world. Kim had a deep love of music. Kim was known among her friends as the expert in music trivia. She used music as a means of teaching as well as for enjoyment and to calm. She really loved to ride her side-by-side around the farm and derived a special excitement from giving rides to others, showing them the trails while scaring them with the speed and maneuvering she had mastered from the many trips she had taken. She was a wonderful wife, aunt, sister, sister-in-law and friend to everyone she met.
