Kevin Gene Gilbert

Age 60 of Ann Arbor, formerly of Mt. Morris died suddenly Sunday, June 14, 2020. Honoring Kevin’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christan Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev Fr. Roy Horning will officiate. Kevin was born on June 9, 1960, in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin and Madgelean (Birchfield) Gilbert. Raised in Mt. Morris, Kevin graduated from Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School with the Class of 1978. After graduation, Kevin worked for many years at Buick City, as a manager in the foodservice department. Kevin then worked in construction sales until his retirement. Kevin was devoted to his family, especially his children and grandchildren. In his free time, Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, especially with Shanny, his dad, brothers, and nephews, and spending time at Higgins Lake with his honey. Kevin was an accomplished chef, and he loved feeding friends and family. Kevin leaves to cherish his memory, the love of his life, Pam; children: Shannon (Eric) Hardy, Meaghan (Greg) Tower, and Mitch Biggs (Janel) three grandchildren: Olivia and Tyler Hardy and Beau Tower; brothers and sisters: Michael (Ruth) Gilbert, Marva (Thomas) Baier, Patricia Weir, William (Karen) Gilbert, Steven (Colette) Gilbert, and Jeffrey (Rena) Gilbert; sister-in-law, Fetta Gilbert; life long friends: Mark Mankowski, Gator, and Kenny Brown; and many nieces and nephews. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; brother Terry, and dear friend, Johnny Hoppe.
