Kenneth Wagner

Of Mt. Morris, age 88, died Thursday, November 15, 2012, at his home. The funeral service will take place 12:00pm, Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Mary Lloyd will officiate with burial to follow in Montrose Cemetery. Kenneth's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Monday from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Kenneth was born August 6, 1924, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Zora (Knight) Wagner. He and Gertrude were united in marriage June 1, 1943, in Flint, Michigan. Sadly she preceded him in death May 13, 1980. Kenneth proudly served in the United States Army during World War II, before receiving his honorable discharge. He worked for General Motors 40 years before retiring in 1984. Kenneth was a committee man for UAW Local #659 for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved dancing, playing the harmonica and cards, most of all he enjoyed joking around to make others laugh. Left to cherish his memory 3 children; Ken, Dave and Tom Wagner; nine grandchildren, Dawn, Jerry, Sarah, Stacey, Rachel, Amanda, Erika, Melissa and Nick; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Betty Wagner; girlfriend, Donna Murdock; numerous family members and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gertrude, son, Jerry, five siblings and two great-grandchildren.
