Kenneth Johnson

of Vassar died Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 2, 2016, at 1:00 pm at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Vassar. Pastor Steven Rousseau to officiate with burial to follow in Watertown Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions in Kenneth’s memory to his family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson was a loving father, husband, grandpa, great grandpa. He was born on February 11, 1925 in Fostoria, Michigan to the late Mr. & Mrs. Budd and Ella (Stratton) Johnson. Kenneth married his wife Donna May Colosky on June 7, 1947. They had a large happy family of eight children. Kenneth served his country proudly in the United States Navy during World War II, from 1944 until 1946. He worked hard for his family farm, and other farms, factories, shops, and manufacturing plants, working from farm hand to security guard. He loved to ride snowmobiles, and motorcycles, going to church, watching wrestling, westerns, playing baseball with his kids, going canoeing on the Mile River, sightseeing with friends, having picnics and playing horseshoes with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his; six children: Kenneth Johnson and wife, Carol, Sally D. Sziber and husband, Harry, Penny Hodge and husband, Timothy, Daniel Johnson and wife, Tami, Terry Johnson, and wife, Tammy, Tamara Jobson and husband Tony; brother, Leonard Johnson; two sisters: Edwina Gee, and Lula Howard; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife, Donna in 2001, daughters Bernice, and Linda, grandson Harry Jr., brother Clinton Johnson, and sisters Marian Johnson and Vercelous Reynolds.
