HARRINGTON, Katherine 1936-2017 Age 81, of Mt Morris, died Friday, November 17, 2017, at her home. In accordance with Katherine's wishes, cremation has taken place. Katherine was born March 8, 1936, in Auburn, Michigan the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Oscar and Mollie (Fritzler) Helmreich. Katherine and Fred Harrington were united in marriage on September 22, 1956. Katherine was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She also volunteered at Mt. Morris Schools and assisted children with reading. She was known for her baking skills, and the whole neighborhood could be found at her house for all the good treats. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Fred; daughters: Jeanne Mary DeMaertelure and Molly Rose and husband, John Woodward; grandchildren: Raymond (Julie) DeMaertelure, Melissa (Nate) Hebl, Chelsea (John) Plesz and Cody Harrington; great-grandchildren: Katelyn Hebl, Blake Hebl, Madison Plesz and Piper Plesz. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Fred Alan Harrington and Steven Earl Harrington, and son-in-law, Raymond DeMaertelure.
