June Plonta

Of Elkton, age 91, died Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Huron Medical Center. The funeral service will take place, 1:00 pm, Monday, February 4, 2013, at the Martin Funeral Home in Fairgrove. Pastor William J. O'Nan will officiate with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. June was born November 6, 1921, in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Lillian (Barry) Goodman. She and Wallace Plonta were united in marriage June 21, 1941. She loved to play cards, was an avid reader and enjoyed eating out. Left to cherish her memory is two daughters, Christie and husband, Jake Jakubuwski and Jacci Clapper; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace; son, Barry Plonta; son-in-law, Terence Clapper; grandson, Michael Plonta; brothers, Charles and Raymond Goodman; and sister, Margueritte Goodman.
