Joyce Tait

Age 88, of Mt. Morris, Michigan, died, Thursday, November 22, 2018, at McLaren Flint Hospital. A celebration of life will take place 1:00 pm on Friday, November 30, 2018, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Joey Henry will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm and again on Friday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the TCT Christian Television Channel. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Joyce was born on December 18, 1929, in Mt. Morris, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Bert and Naomi (Watkins) Cox. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School class of 1947. Joyce and John united in marriage on August 29, 1949. Sadly, he preceded her in death on April 15, 2010. She was a homemaker, staying home raising the children and taking care of the home. Joyce was a member of the Bray Road Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Joyce liked to crochet, bake, watch the TCT Christian Channel, and bowling with the woman’s league. Left to cherish her memory are her son: David Tait; four grandchildren: David Tait Jr., John Tait and Fiancée, Cathy Lynch, Michael Tait and Yosha Dawson; three great-grandchildren: Alexa Tait, Jager Dawson and Jada Dawson; one brother: Victor Cox; one sister: Nita Tennant; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, son, Tommy, and parents.
