John D. Wolfel was born November 29, 1947, the son of William J. and Velma Mae Wolfel of Port Huron. John graduated from Alma High School in 1966 and went on to Ferris State and Northwood College. After college, he began a career at Lobdell Emery Manufacturing for 23 years. In 1984 he married his childhood sweetheart Nedra Greene of St. Louis, Michigan. They settled down in St. Louis, Michigan and raised two sons, Shane and Brad Muscott. They owned and operated Handyman Extraordinaire for 10 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Nedra; two sons, Shane and wife, Carrie and Brad and wife, Jill; five grandchildren, Layne, Brandon, McKenna, Tyler and Trent; and sister, Mary Tucker. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Florence Effie; and in-laws, Wayne and Christena Greene.
