John Keiser

August 10, 1919 — February 4, 2008

Of Clio, age 88, died Monday, February 4, 2008 at Maple Woods Manor. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Friday, February 8, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Max McCloud will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the funeral home. John was born August 10, 1919 in Town Center, Michigan the eighth child of Mr. and Mrs. Playford and Bessie (Fillhart) Keiser. He and Pearl Garnet Keiser were united in marriage March 15, 1940 in Petoskey, Michigan. John retired from Graff Ford on South Saginaw in Flint, Michigan after 25 years of service. He enjoyed being a pilot from 1954-1980 in his personal plane, working on cars, riding horses, working in the garden, raising chickens, cows and pigs. Eating, dancing, fishing, swimming, vacationing up north and helping those in need. He is survived by two daughters: Kathy Ann (Keiser)Cardwell, of Clio, Michigan and Sue Ann (Larry) Starnes of Millington, Michigan; five grandchildren:Angie (Bruce) Partridge, Jaime (Dale) Cole, Jason (Patty)Starnes, Erica (Ralph)Elder and Wendy (Ryan)DeVoe; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers: Warren (Sherry) Keiser and Howard Keiser; many neices, nephews, cousins and friends. Special friend: Bob (Debbie) Jean of Clio, Michigan. John was preceded in death by his wife: Pearl Garnet (White)Keiser; father: Playford Keiser; mother: Bessie Mae (Fillhart)Keiser ; four brothers: Willis (Nellie) Keiser, Ralph (Lois)Keiser, Frank Keiser and Don Keiser and three sisters: Leilah Keiser, Ruth Keiser and Edna Keiser.
