Age 62, of Mt. Morris, was called home to heaven on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. According to John’s wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Eagles Nest Church at a later date. Mr. Hoffman was born July 13, 1953 in Flint, to Mr. & Mrs. Nicholas and the late Jean (Glassford) Hoffman. He and Sandra Dickie were united in marriage on October 8, 1989 in Flint. John retired from the Genesee County, Water and Waste Services. He was also a member of Eagles Nest Church in Mt. Morris. John was a loving family man and will be missed dearly. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering with small engines and all kinds of automotive products. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Dickie) Hoffman; his father, Nicholas Hoffman; four children: Tina and husband, Charles Taylor, Tracy and husband, Greg Williamson, Tony Hicks, and Teresa and husband, Victor Kerry; eight grandchildren: Megan, Dexter, Christina, Danielle, Anthony, Hunter, Jacob, and Chelsea; six great grandchildren: Jazmine, Landon, Jaxon, Greyson, Jayden, and Aiden; three brothers: Jim, Terry, and Jeff; three sisters: Susie, Nancy, and Julie; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
