Joella (Williams) Hintz, age 79, of Flint, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at McLaren Flint. In accordance with Joella’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at 7:00 pm at North End Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. Pastor Timothy Jones will officiate. Joella’s family will be present to receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Joella was born on May 17, 1939, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Sr. and Marguerite “Peggy” (Mercer) Williams. She graduated from Beecher High School class of 1957. Joella worked for General Motors at the Lake Orion Plant. She belonged to the North End Baptist Church in Mt. Morris, American Legion, and Auto City Eagles #3485. An avid reader, she took part in a Book club and fitness classes at Kraphol Senior Center. In her free time, she enjoyed being an avid Michigan State fan, golfing, bowling, gardening, and crafting. She will be greatly missed by many. Left to cherish her memory is her brother: Kenneth Williams Jr. and wife Ellen; four children: Darrell and wife Ann Jones, Christopher Jones, Timothy and wife Gayle Jones, Michele and husband Arthur Simpson; 11 grandchildren: Jake, Jennifer and husband Ryan, Samantha, Nikolai and wife Zalika, Brianna, Tristen, Tara, Travis, Hannah, Halie, and Tyler; 11 great-grandchildren: Jonathon, Harleigh, Zackkary, Carter, David, Haleigh, Sammuel, Ajana, Marley, Ryder, and Haiden. Joella was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Geno”, and her parents. Friends may share a memory with the family at the church or online at www.martinfuneralhome.com
