Joann Curtiss

Age 81, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Willowbrook Manor in Flint Township. Funeral service will take place, Monday, April 1, 2019, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 31, 2019, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm and on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be directed to Gift of Life. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Joann was born April 20, 1937, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maynard and Evelyn (Spears) Coe. She had a warm and caring personality and was a caregiver to many throughout her life. Joann enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, crocheting, gardening, and collecting bears and owls. She was a long-time member of New Testament Church, where she volunteered often in the kitchen. Joann leaves to cherish her memory, children; Carol Crocker and Rick Keltner, Sandy and Sonny Bancroft, Karen and Randy Schofield, Barb Gray, Pam and Dave Linhart, and Dave and Tara Curtiss; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Jean and Frank Oreskovich; and many special nephews, niece and cousins. Joann’s family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff of Willowbrook Manor for all the care and love shown to her over the last nine and a half years. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Gary Alan; and two infant brothers, Richard and Wesley.
