LEMUEL, Jerry Wayne\ \ Of Flint, age 68, died Friday, April 6, 2007 at his home. Funeral service will take place 11:00am Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor George Wilkinson will officiate with burial to follow in Riverrest Cemetery. Jerryas family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Thursday from 11:00am to 3:00pm and again from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jerry was born April 20, 1938 in Flint the son of Mr. Seth Leonard Lemuel and Mrs. Olivia Gladys Cooper. He and Elizabeth L. Mays were united in marriage June 18, 1975 in Flint. Jerry worked at the Michigan School for the Deaf until 1976 and went on to work as program coordinator for the Youth Services Bureau through the Flint Community Schools until his retirement in 1998. He loved gambling in Las Vegas and Mt. Pleasant, horse racing, playing the lottery and desired to live in Hawaii. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Elizabeth, Five children: Mario and wife Theresa Lemuel of Cincinnati, Ohio, Robert and wife Michelle Lemuel of Saginaw, Rodney Lemuel of Cincinnati, Ohio, Eric and wife Kelly Lemuel of Louisville, Kentucky, and Steven and wife Martra Mays of Flint, nine grandchildren: Erica Lemuel, Kayla Lemuel, Katlyn Lemuel, and Taylor Lemuel, Mark Ballard, Markita Ballard, Teresa Ballard, Justin DeGroat, Ladeidra Hampton, and Jalen Mays, five great-grandchildren, his brothers and sisters: Larry Fullwood of Columbus, Ohio, James Lemuel of Houston, Texas, Betty and husband Layton Galloway of Flint, and Stacy Williams of Florida, Sister-in-law: Margaret Lemuel of Colorado Springs, Colorado uncle: Fletcher Lemuel of Shreveport, Louisiana, seventeen nieces and nephews and many friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunt, brother, Alfred Lemuel, niece, Claudette Bryant and brother-in-law, and mother-in-law.\ \
