Jeanne Stadler

Age 91, of Flint, died Tuesday, February 1, 2017, at McLaren Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 2:00 pm, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services of Mt. Morris. John Montney will officiate with cremation to follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 3, 2017, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and again on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society or Krapohl Senior Center. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jeanne was born on March 9, 1925, in East Lansing, to Mr. & Mrs. William E. and Nettie Laycock. She graduated from Michigan State University and The University of Michigan. Jeanne was a Reading Specialist and taught for ten years in the Flint Community School System. She owned and operated Stadler’s Remedial Reading Clinic. Jeanne enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and shopping estate sales. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Elaine Lathrop; special friends: Ronald and Sandra Pease; two cats: Pip and Andy; and many special nieces and nephews. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, John Subco, Herald Hough, and Kenneth Stadler, brothers and sisters, Alice Rathfoot, Robert Laycock, Carol Phillips, Elgin Laycock, Richard Laycock, and Virginia Ricker, and half-brother, Earl Laycock.
