Janith met and married the love of her life, Larrie Hannagir, on September 22, 1951. After 65 wonderful years of marriage, her beloved Larrie preceded her in death on December 23, 2016. Janith was a very hard-working woman and started working at Zehnder’s in Frankenmuth when she was just 13 years old. Janith was a devoted wife and mother, and it wasn’t until all of her children started school that she went back into the workforce as the manager of the Beecher High School cafeteria until her retirement in 1989. Janith left her mark everywhere she went. She was involved in many community events, including the Whaley Children’s Center, and volunteering at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she attended and is a member. Janith gave and gave and never asked for anything in return. She was said to be the most selfless person you would ever meet. She also enjoyed working in her yard and in her vegetable garden. She could often be found walking through her neighborhood picking up trash and recycling to keep everything looking nice. In her free time, Janith enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Left to cherish Janith’s memory are her three children: Lana (Bob) Colosi, Lee (Tiny) Hennagir, and Paul (Beth) Hennagir; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Eunice Peche and Victor and wife Ruth Ann Ill, and her Holy Cross Lutheran Church family. Janith was preceded in death by her husband, Larrie, parents, brother, Raymond Ill.
