Lancey, James, Jr. \ \ Age 83 died Friday, June 2, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 12:00pm Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at Miles Martin Funeral home with Pastor Bonny Lancaster officiating and burial at Flint Memorial Park with Military Honors. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home 3-9pm Sunday, 2-9pm Monday and 10am until time of service at 12 noon on Tuesday. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Assoc. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \ Mr. Lancey was born November 9, 1922 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Sr. and Bertha (Clark) Lancey. He was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and then served his country in the South Pacific during WWII. James and Olive Decker were united in marriage June 2, 1970. He retired in 1978 from Michigan Bell Telephone after 32 years of service. James enjoyed being a small business owner for 17 years, bowling and especially golfing. \ Surviving are his wife Olive Lancey of Mt. Morris; Children Connie and husband Dan Callahan of California, Pamela and husband Jerry Armstrong of White Lake, Jeanne and husband David Meiser of Flint, Bill and wife Janet Black of Fountain, Colorado, Gail and husband Gary Lewis of Owosso,\ Debbie and husband Doug Dean of Flint; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 sister Patricia and husband Bud Bartell of Bluffton, S.C.;\ many nieces, nephews and friends.\ He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Helen Mason.\
